Licence agreement

This is the agreement between you and the maker of Aver when you buy a licence. Plain language on purpose — if a clause is unclear, ask before buying rather than after.

Who you are buying from

What you get

A permanent, non-exclusive right to use Aver for commercial or personal work. There is no subscription and no renewal: the licence does not expire, and the software does not stop working if you stop paying, because there is nothing further to pay.

• Personal — two machines, for one licence holder.
• Studio — five machines, for one licence holder.

A machine is a computer you control. You may move a licence from one machine to another by releasing the first one, which you can do yourself from the plugin.

Updates

Updates are included for as long as Aver is maintained, at no further cost. That is a commitment not to charge you again for the same product. It is not a commitment to maintain it forever, or to add any particular feature.

What you may not do

• Share, resell, rent or sublicense your licence key.
• Use one licence across more machines than it covers.
• Decompile or reverse engineer the software, except where the law expressly allows it.
• Remove or work around the licensing mechanism.

A licence found in public circulation may be disabled. If that happens to you because someone else shared your key, write in and it will be reissued.

What is not promised

Aver is provided as is. It is a tool that processes your footage; it cannot guarantee a particular visual result on any given clip, because that depends on the footage itself. Try it on your own material before relying on it for a delivery.

Keep your originals. Nothing here makes anyone liable for lost work, missed deadlines or damaged media, and liability is limited to what you paid for the licence. Where the law gives you rights that cannot be excluded — and as a consumer in the EU or Switzerland it does — those rights are unaffected by anything on this page.

Ending it

You can stop using Aver at any time. The licence ends if you break the terms above, and in that case no refund is due. Ending it does not affect a refund you were already entitled to under the refunds policy.

Governing law

Swiss law applies. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country of residence.
